Rising tension!

Two weeks before we fly out and the tension is rising!!!!

Our “To Do” list is growing and shrinking at the same time, as one thing is stroked off another one or two is added. It really is all in the details now; and there are a lot of details!!!

Both of us are experiencing highs and  lows, sometimes everything is rosy and other times tempers flare. Which is to be expected, sorting through your belongings and the associated memories they stir up is very intense and even disturbing……. going through a pile of old correspondence resurrected memories of my first marriage and the anger, pain, humiliation & despair that I experienced at that time. Leafing through old photo albums stirred memories of old friends, fun times and the realisation that we are doing the right thing and following our dreams.

Books are stacked in piles in the study as Mike goes through what is to be kept and what to be sold or donated. This is probably the toughest thing he has to do as he loves books, he loves the knowledge they contain. Some of them he has not yet read so it is painful for him to cull them.

Anxiety, fear and angst abound! Which adds up to a somewhat explosive environment right now…….. It also shows us how well we have learned to communicate, share our feelings, vent frustrations if needed and move on!
